NFL Playoff Landscape After Week 16, Steelers Last Hope, College Football Playoff, MLB Hot Stove
JAYREELZ

What will lie under the Christmas tree as I deliver all of the shiny gifts, or possibly coal, on this festive edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. We’re down to the final weekend of the NFL regular season. Week 16 certainly took shape as far as playoff positioning in concerned. I’ll get right to it to dissect what happened in the AFC & NFC playoff picture, including a heartbreaking loss for the Pittsburgh Steelers in New Orleans. With the Black & Yellow on the outside looking in, what are their chances of making the postseason? Do they have a shot? I’ll shed some possible light on a dim and dire situation. Plus, the latest on the Jets (Sam Darnold trending up, Todd Bowles trending down) and Giants (Eli Manning’s 2019 return?) as they close out the string. I’ll take a look at the College Football Playoff Semifinal as to who’ll meet in the National Championship Game. All of the MLB Hot Stove news with the Mets, Yankees, the big Dodgers-Reds trade and what that could mean for Bryce Harper? Also, LeBron James’s recent comments on tampering, NFL owners and getting paid and James Dolan open to selling the Knicks? It’s a smorgasbord of sports chatter as we get ready for Santa’s arrival on this weeks episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 46)

NFL Roundup! Giants Fizzle in Philly! College FB Review. Machado in Pinstripes?
JAYREELZ

Are you ready for a post-Thanksgiving helping of what’s going on in the world of sports? You’ve come to the right place as The JAYREELZ Podcast will fix a plate of all kinds of sports goodness to whet your appetite. The NFL season is about to head into the homestretch. Teams are jockeying for early playoff positioning in both the AFC & NFC. I’ll recap the week that was in the league, including the Steelers dud in Denver, Seattle guts one out in Carolina and what that loss means for the Panthers with two matchups vs. the Saints in the weeks to come. Plus, Pat Shurmer’s ineptitude in the Giants loss at Philadelphia which officially ends their season and the Jets hanging tough, but it’s not enough as their losing streak reaches five games with a loss to the Patriots. It was a wild weekend in college football with Michigan being embarrassed by Ohio St., Notre Dame hangs on vs. USC and Texas A&M wins one for the ages in a seven OT shootout with LSU. But all eyes are looking ahead to Conference Championship weekend as to who’ll be the last four teams standing for the right to play in the FBS playoff come December 29th. You’ll hear my take on all of the scenarios of who’ll make it and who won’t to decide this college football season. I’ll also chime in on the Manny Machado to the Yankees rumor, the Knicks recent success, other NBA news, some NHL talk, including a GM fired down in Philadelphia and much more on Episode #40 of The JAYREELZ Podcast. Jets Flop. What's Next? NFL Week 10, NBA News, MLB Hot Stove, NHL, Duke's Big 3
JAYREELZ

A jam packed show is on tap as I deliver all of what’s going on in the world of sports on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The Jets season has now been put to rest after their deplorable effort against the lowly Buffalo Bills. The hot seat is burning as coach Todd Bowles is walking the plank to his potential departure, but there is a caveat? I’ll explain in great detail why leaving now doesn’t make sense, but the REAL reason he still may be coach of this team in 2019? I’ll go around the league to discuss another wild week in the NFL as the playoff picture starts to take a little shape ten weeks into the season. There’s plenty of NBA news to delve into, including Jimmy Butler moving on to Philadelphia, Carmelo Anthony jettisoned from Houston? Tyson Chandler igniting the Lakers to .500, also what’s going on with the Celtics? Plus, some news and notes on the NHL with the answer to an intriguing trivia question, Duke’s Big 3 with Zion Williamson leading the charge and why it’s WAY too early to mention an undefeated season. I’ll sprinkle in a few more things to chat about as well on this weeks’ episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 39)

JAYREELZ

The clocks are turned back. The days are shorter. Fall is in full swing and November has arrived as I deliver all that’s going on in the world of sports on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. It’s time to put the proverbial end of the 2018 NY Jets as they weren’t able to take flight down in South Florida vs. the Dolphins. There’s lots of blame to go around after their third straight loss drops them to 3-6 on the season. Is it time for Todd Bowles to be fired? Should Sam Darnold ride the pine after his four interception performance? I’ll answer those questions and go around the league in Week 8 to highlight the Saints stopping the Rams unbeaten season, players wanting to play in Oakland, says coach Jon Gruden? Also, the Texans march to a division title, the Steelers death knell to their archrivals and can the Falcons get back in the NFC playoff picture? I’ll analyze the comments made by new Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen and what does it mean for the Amazins’ moving forward? Why I disapprove the Yankees bringing back Brett Gardner? Plus, the latest in the NHL (the Islanders hot streak, Cup hangover in Washington and Vegas?), the NBA (Jimmy Butler needs to go, Luke Walton on the hot seat in LA?) and thoughts about Floyd Mayweather’s upcoming fight in Japan? That’s right! All of that, plus much more, on this weeks episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 38)

We've reached the Midsummer Classic as we're more than halfway into the baseball season. A lot of todays' chatter will swirl about what's going on around the diamond in Major League Baseball. What should they get back for some of their possible trade chips? You'll hear all of my thoughts regarding those questions. Plus, some insight on the first half of the MLB season, including surprises and disappointments from teams up until this point. I'll also touch on the World Cup Final between Croatia and France. Praise for NY Knicks #1 pick, Kevin Knox as good news about him is coming out of the NBA's Summer League. JAYREELZ

Kicking off another week in grand style as I deliver the latest of what's going on in the world of sports. Met fans! Hang on to your hats yet again! Just when you think it can't get any worse. Losers of six in a row, 13 of 14 at HOME and unable to replace starting pitcher Jason Vargas at the last minute, the New York Mets continue to find ways to go further south as a team AND an organization! This 'REELZ Rant is solely on the shoulders of GM, Sandy Alderson and Principal Owner, Jeff Wilpon. I discuss poor transactions, accountability of the franchise and predict how Sandy Alderson, if and when, will leave/be dismissed by the team. I'll also touch on the Yankees without Gary Sanchez in the lineup for the forseeable future. Plus, an early look at the NBA off-season, including the UNCALLED for booing of NY Knicks #1 pick, Kevin Knox. JAYREELZ

Back on the scene to deliver all that's going on in the world of sports on this weeks' episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The NBA season may be over, but the off-season is just getting started. The Draft is three days away, with free agency ten days after that. I'll share my thoughts on what the Knicks & Nets may do, where LeBron James may end up, as well as, Kawhi Leonard looking to be traded to a new team. (LA, anyone?) There's not much to report in the Bronx as the Yankees continue to roll, but there's concern with the Bombers (mainly the Red Sox and adding another starting pitcher). You'll get my take on that, and which Mets may not be with the team (although it's still early, but who's kidding who) come the trade deadline next month. Plus, a recap of the US Open, played right here in Long Island at Shinnecock Hills. And why I have NO interest in the World Cup? Get your popcorn ready for another fast paced, action packed, sports talk party here on the latest edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 16)
